Senior Designer for LUAR.
Designing SS23 runway/collection and onwards, I've led design efforts across ready-to-wear design development, technical design, accessory design, and collaborative projects, while also managing production and leading the design team.
I have driven the design efforts for the SS23 collection and Onward, leading the design journey from concept to creation I oversee technical design, accessory design, and collaborative projects while managing production and guiding the design team till day of show. I have managed up to 15 team members and worked with sample makers both locally and internationally, handling everything from concept and fabric development to sourcing, sample making, fitting, and leading on show day. Additionally, I budget each collection to ensure financial and creative goals are met.
Collaborated with the Creative Director to present new design details and introduce innovative silhouettes. Organized and led design meetings to showcase and review style lineups across all divisions. Developed new design elements while reimagining core details essential to the brand, ensuring they align with the seasonal narrative. Worked with the team to interpret the Creative Director’s mood board and bring the vision to life. My focus areas include outerwear/performance wear, basic cut-and-sew knits, denim, and leather.
Production Process: Oversaw the final merchandised offerings for wholesale and managed seasonal production schedules. Directed the launch of production samples and multiple sampling rounds to achieve the final production sample. Prepared cost sheets for all styles. Maintained constant communication with our manufacturers around the world to ensure smooth production and timely delivery.
Technical Development: Created initial prototype tech packs, including physical prototypes, spec measurements, material options, and construction details. Conducted research on construction methods and updated technical specifications to align with the finalized product.
In 2022, I collaborated on several exciting projects, including branding and production for Stella’s capsule collection of cut-and-sew knits and leather accessories, such as the Chalice Holder bag. I also worked with Mejuri on jewelry design and created custom pieces for Jordan athletes.
In 2023, my projects included designing custom shoes and athlete suites for Nike.
Looking ahead to 2024, I am involved in creating a custom bag and leather accessories for Zacapa, designing the F/W23 and SS25 capsule collections for Moose Knuckles, and developing custom bags for both Amex and Mac. Additionally, I will be collaborating with Vitally on a new jewelry collection.
